Creating a Simple Coastal Fall Tablescape
Decorating for fall doesn't have to be pumpkins galore or over the top. Here we took our little breakfast nook and cozied it up for fall with a few layers, a couple pumpkins, and of course a touch of color.
First I started with fine tuning my color palate. I knew that I wanted to veer away from orange for a change and stick with the colors I typically have in my home year round, but also add a little pop of color that would complement those colors well. Hence this beautiful burgundy touch.
I then added in a few layers, starting with the lower levels, like my runner, chargers, napkins, and plates...
Next I added some height and dimension with my vase of fresh cut plum stems from the yard and large bowl of faux pears... I added a smaller bowl of faux sage pumpkins and then placed a simple small white pumpkin on top of each setting.
I set the mood and really cozied it up with fairy lights, scattered votive candles, and of course a couple of pillows and my favorite cozy throw.
So what do you know, no orange or maple leaves, yet it still looks and feels like fall but with a fresh coastal twist.
And best of each of these items, expect the pumpkins of course, can be used in my home year round. Now that is a win!?
